Lets introduce Leisa

I was born and raised in Tocumwal, and as a junior I played a lot of netball during the winter and played tennis in the summer. Our summer holidays were filled up with tennis tournaments all over the place, I was in the local area McDonalds squad with tennis and one school holidays we played down in Melbourne and from that clinic I was asked to join the Peter McNamara squad. Every Friday for 2 school terms we travelled to Melbourne for 2 hours of coaching with Peter McNamara. Whilst I enjoyed the experience Peter sensed that I didn’t quite have the drive to go onto the next level. I continued to play netball and tennis but as I got into my 20s my knees started to cause me a lot of problems I then gave up the impact sports as the surgeon suggested. I worked for the family business for 14 years and when my parents retired I had a choice to make about career options. I found that I really wanted to help people with regards to their health and wellbeing, so I completed my studies in Certificate 3&4 in fitness with AIPT and never looked back. The joy I get from seeing people improving their lives is amazing and to see the smiles on their faces after a tough session and knowing that they are on their way to a better lifestyle excites me daily.
