Meet Nic Lund
Hello, and welcome to Active Farmers. I'm Nic, I am married and a mummy to 3 children. My husband and I own and operate a cropping and cattle property in Central Queensland.
Health and Fitness has always been an important part of my life. Prior to meeting my husband and moving to the farm, I always had close access to a gym, boot camps and exercise classes although when I moved out to the farm all those services were much more difficult to access with the closest gym being 80kms. I found the isolation quite difficult and missed the social aspect of going to gym and participating in exercise classes and as a result my physical and mental health declined.
After many years of missing out, I finally made myself a gym in one of the original homesteads on the farm and now train regularly and encourage my children to participate to so they too can form healthy habits. I think exercise is so important for mental health and general wellbeing especially in rural communities and I can't wait to start training people in our community.
My favorite types of workouts are strength training and HIIT so you can expect variety when training with me. All fitness levels are welcome, and all exercise can be tailored to individual needs.
