Farmers and locals hit Kurrawa Beach to drive better health outcomes in the bush

Our farmers are ditching the utes and work boots, and trading dusty back paddocks for the sandy beaches of the beautiful Gold Coast for a special group fitness class, and we’d love as many people to join us.

The free workout will take place at Kurrawa Beach foreground on Tuesday, 6 August at 6am.

The 45-minute session will bring together farmers from across the country who are on the Gold Coast for the 2024 Australian Cotton Conference, as well as locals keen to throw their support behind our rural and regional communities.

The workout, open to all ages and levels of fitness, will focus on functional strength with people working together in teams and having fun, with the main goal to raise awareness and fundraise for the charity.

Active Farmers NSW and QLD Manager Marliese Heffernan, who will lead the class, said the workout was all about coming together and raising awareness about how we can build stronger, healthier and more resilient rural and regional communities.
