Meet Our Students for 2024

Introducing this year's Empowered Scholarship students, thanks to John Deere machinery dealers, Hutcheon & Pearce. These 11 amazing people have just kicked off their studies in Cert III & IV in Fitness with Fit College.

Our students are spread far and wide, and share our passion for health and fitness in their rural communities We wish them all the best with their studies and look forward to them starting their Active Farmers' fitness classes later in the year.

The Empowered Scholarship is in it’s third year and was developed by Agricultural machinery stalwart Hutcheon & Pearce in partnership with Active Farmers and FIT College in 2021, the EMPOWERED Scholarship program. Each year, 10 deserving recipients will complete their Certificate III and Certificate IV in Personal Training and go on to work with Active Farmers for a minimum of two years in their local communities.

The scholarship is valued at nearly $10,000 and contributes greatly to helping Active Farmers expand their services further into small rural communities that have limited access to group fitness.

There are so many benefits to becoming a trainer with Active Farmers. Aside from making a difference in your local community, our trainers are remunerated for their classes. There are no equipment costs or venue hire fees, and our trainers receive a combined annual allowance of $1000 for professional development and workshops/events in their area.
