Exercise routine to do at home :)
In a perfect world it is ideal to complete 30-60 minutes of exercise every day, however the reality is the the world isn't perfect and this is often very difficult. I recommend trying to exercise at least 4 days each week as a compromise.
Given you might only be able to get to 1-2 Active Farmer group fitness classes each week you could try 2 - 3 additional exercise routines at home to make you 4 days of exercise per week.
This week I have put together an exercise routine that you can do at home and all you will need is a yoga mat or towel, some water and some upbeat tunes. You will need to allow 35 minutes to complete the work out.
Warm up: 5 minutes of running or walking and some active stretches of your choice (such as twisting, hamstring swings).
Circuit 1: 6 minutes
- 30 seconds of squat jumps
- 30 seconds squat hold
- 30 seconds squat pulses
- 30 seconds of push-ups
- Repeat 3 times
- For an extra challenge grab a weight to hold during the squat holds and pulses
One minute break
Circuit 2: 7.5 minutes
- 30 seconds of lunge jumps
- 30 seconds left leg hold
- 30 seconds right leg hold
- 60 seconds of plank
- Repeat 3 times
- For an extra challenge grab a weight to hold during the lunge hold
One minute break
Circuit 3: 7.5 minutes
- 30 second of sumo squat jumps ( jumping legs from hip width into a sumo squat option - legs 1.5 x hip width apart with toes pointing outwards)
- 30 seconds sumo squat hold
- 30 seconds sumo squat pulses
- 30 seconds mountain climbers
- 30 seconds push-ups
- Repeat 3 times
- For an extra challenge grab a weight to hold during the lunge hold
Cool Down: 5 minutes
- Slow walking and deep breathing by raising arms up and down slowly - 3 minutes
- Stretching - 3 minutes with 20 seconds on each stretch
Enjoy!!
